Purpose of Funding: Multipurpose Grants provide funding to carry out a range of eligible assessment and cleanup activities, including planning and additional community engagement activities. Multipurpose Grant recipients will be required to, at a minimum, conduct one Phase II environmental site assessment and remediate one site. Additionally, Multipurpose Grant recipients will be required to develop an overall plan for revitalization of the target area (if a plan does not already exist), and the plan must include a feasible reuse strategy for at least one priority site.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include local governments, land clearance authorities, government entities created by state legislature, regional councils established under governmental authority, state governments, Federally recognized Indian Tribes other than in Alaska, Alaska Native Regional Corporations, Alaska Native Village Corporations, Metlakatla Indian Community, 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, qualified community development entities
