Purpose of Funding: The goal of CSCI is to provide funding and technical assistance to advance community-based climate resilience in US communities or regions that are highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Priorities include climate change vulnerability, equity, nature, readiness to increase climate resilience, and capacity building.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants are local or regional governments, including town, city, county, district, regional or Tribal government, or a special planning commission, that represent areas with a population of less than 500,000 residents. Local or regional governments must partner with a community-based organization and an adaptation practitioner.
