Infrastructure Office Hour: AML’s Shared Services: Online Sales Taxes & Tax Collection

Join AML to discuss two of our financial tools available to members:  Online Sales Tax and Sales Tax Collection Services. The Alaska Remote Seller Sales Tax Commission is designed to enable communities with a general sales tax to enforce collection of their local sales tax on online purchases that are delivered into your community.  The Sales Tax Collection Service (STCS) is designed for a community to “step back” and have AML administer their local sales tax remittances and filings.  Let’s hear from Clinton Singletary, statewide municipal sales tax program director, and how these services can help municipalities strengthen capacity and raise general fund revenue to support services such as water and wastewater.
