The Alaska Marine Highway Operations Board comprises the Deputy Commissioner of DOT&PF, assigned to AMHS, and eight public members. One member represents the maritime union; one represents Alaska Native organizations; the Speaker, Senate President, and Governor each appointed two members. AMHOB’s overall purpose is to provide recommendations to AMHS. All nine members are interested in hearing from the public as the planning processes move forward.
