Denali Commission Rural Projects

  • Deadline:  April 12, 2024
  • Grant Amount:   $150,000 up to $2,000,000 depending on program area.
  • Number of Anticipated Awards:  60
  • Match Required:  Yes; amount is dependent on program area (see page 16 of funding opportunity)

Eligibility:  Eligible projects must benefit residents of the State of Alaska. Eligible applicants include municipal, borough, state,and Tribal governments; Indian Tribes as defined by Title 25 US Code § 5304; regional housing authorities; universities; regional Tribal non-profit organizations; and non-profit organizations. For-profit Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) entities may apply; however, grant income is considered income and, therefore, taxable.

Purpose of Funding:  The Denali Commission solicits applications to encourage infrastructure development in rural Alaska. Program areas are shown in the table below.
