The Alaska Municipal League would like your help in reviewing the current stage of the ongoing Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program currently in progress through the Alaska Broadband Office (ABO). The ABO has opened the Alaska Broadband Mapping Challenge Portal (May 6-June 5, 2024) for the public to provide feedback on current levels of internet service at individual homes, businesses, and Community Anchor Institutions. A challenge process has been established to facilitate this review.
Please take the time to review the Broadband Service Location (BSL) map and Community Anchor Institutions (CAI) list on the Challenge Portal website: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/0837bbb7c7754392927be32d78161b19/
AML held an Infrastructure Office Hour on May 14 with Lisa Von Bargen from the Alaska Broadband Office to discuss the challenge process.
