Alaska Emissions Inventory Map Tool
Alaska Emissions Inventory Map Tool
The Alaska Municipal League is working for the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation to complete the Priority Sustainable Energy Action Plan (PSEAP) to serve as Alaska’s PCAP for the Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) program. As part of this plan, Constellation and the Alaska Municipal League have collaborated to provide this greenhouse gas and criteria pollutants emissions inventory map tool for a baseline year of 2022. This emissions inventory map tool covers Alaska as a whole, as well as community-level inventories for 245 communities around the state.
This inventory map tool is based off modeling informed by federal and state datasets, in addition to local data contributions where relevant. Many community-level inventories are updated in collaboration with their relevant tribal CPRG grantees. The tool will be updated with additional emissions sectors and more community-level data as part of planning for the state’s Comprehensive Sustainable Energy Action Plan (CSEAP).
Trainings for how to use this tool for community-level energy and climate planning are available for municipalities, tribal governments, and other relevant entities. For additional For this and any additional questions, please contact griffin@akml.org. For more information on Climate Pollution Reduction Grants in Alaska, got to AKFederalFunding.org/cprg.
This tool is still in development. As updates are available for the Alaska Emissions Inventory Map Tool, the will be noted on this page.
